This is a good one. One of the heroes of The Big Short is now long ag land. In the book, Dr. Mike Burry is said to love the “ick” trade. Ag land certainly fits in that category. It’s an asset that nobody is going to get excited about.
But the interesting thing is that Burry is now talking about it. So does that mean that the trade is over? Is the opportunity now gone? I kind of suspect that Burry’s world experience is that it doesn’t matter what he says, his views are usually different enough that nobody is going to listen anyway.
